Welcome to St Anne’s Church and Hall
We are a friendly, fun, welcoming, inclusive, Eco Church at the heart of the Western Park community in Leicester. Part of the Diocese of Leicester family of churches in the Church of England. Whatever you believe you are welcome to join us in our church, hall or beautiful gardens.
At St Anne’s you will find a wide range of people from different background and ages, learning, worshiping, serving and loving together. Our aim is to love and serve God and our local community as we strive to become better followers of Jesus.
We believe that God loves everyone, whatever their background, gender, sexuality, age or ability and do our best to show this love with everyone we meet.
Our passions include caring for God’s creation by being an Eco Church and growing food at our new allotment. We have a strong music tradition, with a small choir and support two young organ scholars. We show love in action through a wide range of charitable actions.
If you would like to join us in learning more about Jesus at our worship services, or other activities or want to join us in an event, see our What’s on page.
For more information you might like our weekly benefice notices or monthly magazine (called ‘The Link’) which we share with our sister church. These can be downloaded here.

A brief history of St Anne’s
The Parish of St. Anne was founded in 1914 out of the parish of St. Mary de Castro, shortly before the outbreak of World War 1. Land was purchased on the corner of Westfield Road and Letchworth Road, in the middle of the developing ‘Garden City’ suburb of Western Park.
Initially worship took place in a “tin tabernacle” affectionately called ‘The Tin Annie’. The present church was designed by local architect, Arthur Bryan and consecrated in 1934.
