• Worship and Prayer

We love to worship and pray in God’s creation
  • Outdoor worship

We worship in the church yard, on the allotment and in the local park
  • Sharing God’s bounty

Growing, harvesting and sharing food is important to us

‘One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.’

Luke 6:12

At St Anne’s Church we love to worship outside. This includes noticing and being thankful for God’s creation; observing the trees, plants, birds, and insects around us, and feeling the sunshine and wind (or refreshing rain!) on our faces.

Outdoor Worship

At St Anne’s Church we are experimenting with worship outdoors in God’s creation at our local park, Western Park and our Community Allotment. These are led by Pioneer Curate Rev’d Sharon Plant

We have two weekly worship opportunities at our Community Allotment. A Sunday Allotment Service at 2pm and a Thursday Allotment Drop In at 1.30pm.

Our Wonderful Walks take place on the third Sunday of the month, starting at the main gates of Western Park at 9.30am. Finishing around an hour later at St Anne’s Hall for refreshments with the church congregation. If you would like to try our wonderful walks yourself, we have published details below.

For more information about our mid week services see the see our What’s on page. Or select one of the links below.
